Social strategy and live content capture - The Earthshot Prize Awards

The pinnacle of the year for The Earthshot Prize, the annual awards ceremony awards the five new winners of the prize; each awarded £1 million to scale and accelerate their solution to repair our planet.

As part of the storytelling team, I travelled to Singapore for the first ever Earthshot Week - a week of thought leadership events, finalist engagements and, of course, the awards ceremony itself.

My role involved a great deal of creative ideation and strategical planning in the run up to the events, as well as live content capture and quick-turnaround creation onsite. The approach was social-first, Gen Z-centric and multi-format to maximise the storytelling power and appeal to our target audience.

Highlights:

  • Content partnerships with a range of creators, including Sorted Food, The Weird and Wild, Sophia Li, Pluc TV and green carpet host Ayame P.

  • Content capture and filming with the finalists at their Fellowship Retreat

  • Green carpet content, from live arrivals to filming at the YouTube Studio

  • Live streaming the whole ceremony on YouTube

The results: 20M YouTube views throughout the period, 25M views across social channels and over 13M accounts reached organically. Combined, we also gained over 17k new followers.
